These soil probes use a high strength chrome-moly steel shaft for rigidity and durability. The handle, shaft and tip are threaded. This allows the contractor to replace shafts and tips as required.

All probe tips are manufactured from heat treated alloy steel and designed to provide a clearance hole for the shaft. This makes penetration and withdrawal of the probe easier since the shaft is not dragging against the soil.
