For contractors that prefer the Ditch Witch style drill rod connector (Latch Style) but desire the strength and rigidity of a 1" diameter drill rod shaft for straighter drilling and control, here is a new heavy duty series of drill rods that are interchangeable with Ditch Witch horizontal drill rods and tooling.

The heavy duty rod shafts and connectors are manufactured from chrome-moly tool steel that is heat-treated to an average tensile strength of 153,000 psi for strength, toughness and rigidity.
